PRODUCTS

  • We use a premium blend of paraffin and coconut wax.

  • The fragrance oils we use for our candles are paraben, phthalate, and cruelty-free. We source them from vendors with a long-standing reputation for providing high-end, top-quality products.

  • We use Eco-friendly, clean-burning, wooden wicks made from FSC Certified Wood.

  • The strength of your candle's aroma varies based on its placement, the environment, the room's size, and the candle itself. Our candles are 12 oz. which works best in mid-size to large spaces such as bedrooms, office spaces, living rooms, etc.

  • Safety is always first when burning a candle. On the bottom of your candle, you will find a warning label that lists burning instructions. For additional recommendations including how to avoid fire hazards when burning your candle, visit our Candle Care page.

  • The minuscule amount of soot produced by a candle is the natural byproduct of incomplete combustion. Candle soot is composed primarily of elemental carbon particles and is like the soot given off by kitchen toasters and cooking oils*. PAYMENTS

  • We accept every major debit and credit card: Visa, MasterCard, American Express, & Discover. Also, for your convenience, we accept Apple Pay, PayPal, and Afterpay.

  • Your credit card will be charged as soon as your order is accepted and processed.

ORDERS

  • You can manage your order by logging into your customer account. You will also receive an order confirmation email once your order has been accepted and processed. Once your order ships, you will receive an email with the tracking information.

  • Due to the nature of our products, all sales are final. We will replace broken items when possible or offer a replacement on items that may have been damaged in transit. Returns, refunds, or replacement products for reasons other than damage incurred during shipping cannot be accepted.

AFTERPAY

  • Afterpay allows you to shop now and pay later, with no interest*. With Afterpay, your purchase will be split into 4 payments, payable every 2 weeks.

  • When you are making a purchase, choose Afterpay as your payment method at checkout. If it’s your first time using Afterpay, you will provide payment details to complete your purchase. Once your first order is approved, your Afterpay account is created. If you’re a returning user, you will log into your account to make your purchase. August Day Candle House will prepare and ship your order as usual.

  • Afterpay is a free service when you pay on time - there are no upfront fees charged or any interest incurred. For more details, please visit Afterpay.

  • You don't need to register prior to making your first Afterpay purchase. Once your first order is approved, your Afterpay account is created. All you need to do is visit www.afterpay.com or download the Afterpay app to set up a password and you will be able to make more purchases using Afterpay by simply entering your login details upon checkout.

  • You will more than likely pay the first installment of the purchase price at the time you place the order. For more information, please visit Afterpay.

  • No, we will not hold your order. You will receive your order per standard processing times as if you paid for the order in full at checkout.

GIFT CARDS

  • You can select the gift card on the “Shop” page, click the “Gift Cards” link and the item page will open.

  • No, gift cards are sold as unique digital codes. They are available as an email or printable .pdf

  • No, the gift cards have pre-set values.

  • The gift cards do not expire.

  • You will receive an initial email with the gift card balance. After entering the gift card code at checkout, you will see the remaining balance if there is any.

  • Yes. If your order total exceeds the value remaining on your gift card, you can pay the balance using our standard payment methods.

  • No. You cannot add a value to a gift card after its been sold.

SHIPPING

  • Please allow us 2-3 business days to prepare your order for shipping after it has been placed. During the hotter Summer months, we will only ship orders Monday through Wednesday to avoid your package sitting over the weekend in a hot facility/truck.

  • Currently, we do not offer international shipping.

  • We no longer ship to P.O. Boxes due to UPS being our exclusive carrier. Please provide a physical address for shipping.
